Obituary:
Suanne Hodgson Smith went to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 19, 2012, at her home in De Kalb, Texas.

Suanne was born in the Mcgee Hospital in New Boston, Texas, May 23, 1954, to Raymond and Leota Hodgson. She was Co-owner of Smith’s Heat and Air. Suanne was a member of First Baptist Church in De Kalb, Mary Martha Sunday School Class, Hospitality Committee and involved in other Church activities.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Hodgson; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Curtis and Thelma Smith; grandparents, Bun and Zula Hodgson, Jeff Isabell and Ola Mae Tutt.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis Smith, Jr.; her mother, Leota Hodgson; a sister and brother-in-law, Paulette and Gary Wright; a sister-in-law and her husband, Lisa and Frank Barror; a niece and her husband, Pam and Tim Fannin; a nephew and his wife, Paul and Deborah DeRouen; nieces, Emily Mize and Lorie Shepherd; nephew, Chris Kennedy; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, July 20, 2012, at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 21, 2012 at First Baptist Church, De Kalb, Texas with Chris Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the Woodmen Cemetery under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
