Donnie Joe Clinton - age: 85
(September 11, 1924 to April 08, 2010 ) Resident of De Kalb, Texas Visitation Information: 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Saturday, April 10, 2010 Bates Family Funeral Home Obituary: Mr. Donnie Joe Clinton of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010 at his residence. He was 85. Donnie was born September 11, 1924 in Commerce, Texas. He was a retired Sheet Metal Foreman from Red River Army Depot and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in DeKalb. He was a 50 year Award Member of DeKalb Masonic Lodge #9, a member of the Scottish Rite, and the Hella Shrine. He was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps having served in the 302nd Airdrome Squadron during World War II and was member of the American Legion Post 488 in New Boston. He is survived by his wife: Mary Caraway Clinton of DeKalb, Texas.; a daughter and son-in-law: Jan and Chris Moser of De Kalb, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Martha Clinton of Texarkana, Texas; a brother and sisters-in-law: Bob and Lavern Clinton of DeKalb, Texas; a sister: Ann Baldwin of Ennis, Texas; Five grandchildren and their spouses: Clint Moser, Chris Clinton and wife, Kelly, Mike Clinton and wife, Marci, Kelli Clinton and Michelle McWhorter; Four Great Grandchildren: Ashley Edwards, Kade Clinton, Nathan Clinton and Reese Clinton; and a number of Nieces. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home. Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 11, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Hoefner officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, DeKalb, P.O. Box 396, DeKalb, Texas 75559 or to Dierksen Memorial Hospice, 6500 Summerhill Rd #200, Texarkana, Texas 75503.

Mary I was saddened to hear of Donnie's passing. I am so sorry I did not know sooner.
